THANK YOU, DONORS!
I’m beyond excited to be done with high school! More importantly, I’m very grateful to have had the opportunity, through the Ghana Educational Collaborative (GEC), to attend high school. I come from a very huge family; 9 siblings and 5 other dependents. As a result, the distribution of resources is very small that it cannot even pay one-tenth of my school fees.
Each day in high school reminded me of the blessed opportunity I have as a GEC scholar. I’ve seen other friends miss school for not paying their fees, and eventually repeating a grade for missing an exam. This has encouraged me to make use of my full scholarship opportunity to make myself, GEC family and donors all proud. As I prepare for college to study Petroleum Engineering, I’ve also been encouraged to work harder to become a change agent in my community to be able to give similar opportunities to others in the future.
To the GEC Board and donors: thank you for the difference you continue to make in my life, and many others, and being part of our success story. I'm eternally grateful.
